Six Mississippi State Football Players Invited to 2016 NFL Combine
Six Mississippi State Football players will head to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
The National Football League has invited six former Mississippi State football players to the 2016 NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The six Bulldogs heading to Indy are: LB Beniquez Brown, CB Teveze Calhoun, CB Will Redmond, WR De’Runnya Wilson, DT Chris Jones, and QB Dak Prescott. These six will have a chance to bolster their NFL Draft position as they perform in front of hundreds of scouts from all 32 NFL Teams. The announcement was made by the NFL today, and was no real surprise to Bulldog fans who was selected for the combine. These six players performed brilliantly in the Maroon and White, and will represent the Bulldogs well in their future endeavors with an NFL squad.

- LB Beniquez Brown – 6′ 1″, 238 lbs. 39 games played, 200 total tackles, 94 unassisted tackles, 22.5 TFL, 2 Fumbles Recovered, 3 Interceptions, 6 total sacks
- CB Teveze Calhoun – 6′ 1″, 180 lbs. 49 games played, 6 Interceptions, 161 total tackles, 107 unassisted tackles, 12 TFL, 27 passes defended, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery
- CB Will Redmond – 6′ 0″, 186 lbs. 27 games played, 5 Interceptions, 99 total tackles, 69 unassisted tackles, 5.5 TFL, 13 passes defended
- WR De’Runnya Wilson – 6′ 5″, 215 lbs. 38 games played, 1949 yards, 133 receptions, 22 TDs, 14.7 YPC
- DT Chris Jones – 6′ 6″, 308 lbs. 39 games played, 102 tackles, 42 unassisted tackles, 18 TFL, 23 QB Hurries, 8.5 Sacks
- QB Dak Prescott – 6′ 2″, 230 lbs. 48 games played, 11877 Total Yards, 114 Total TDs,

These six Mississippi State football players will be remembered as some of the greatest players to ever put on the Maroon and White, especially Dak Prescott. Prescott was one of Mississippi State’s only legitimate Heisman contenders, had the hearts of the nation during the Bulldog’s magical run to the first #1 ranking in school history, and will forever be thanked by Bulldog fans for what all he has done for the program. Teveze Calhoun will be remembered for his smarts on and off the field, especially after being named SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year, and being a finalist for the “Academic Heisman” as it is called.
