Good teams with “Game Managers”

There were only two teams that I put here. Some of the guys I put on the previous list might have gone here if they had been on good teams. These teams might not be willing to make a change too quickly from their current quarterback. They’re winning games, so they’ll stick with the current guy at the position so long as that continues. It would give Dak some time to learn, but if he had to go in for whatever reason, he’d have a good supporting cast to help through it.

  • Cincinnati Bengals
    • Andy Dalton had his first really good season for the Bengals in 2015, but do we don’t know if that will continue after his injury. Until we see  it year in and year out, I’m keeping the game manager label on Dalton.
  • Kansas City Chiefs
    • If Webster’s were to ever put the word game manager in the dictionary, Alex Smith would have his picture next to it. The Chiefs have won a lot with Smith at quarterback, but mostly by having Smith limit his mistakes and not hurt the team.
