#7: 1963 – Mississippi State 99 vs. LSU 64

MSU was a great team in 1963 so it’s no surprise they went down to Baton Rouge and put a butt-whopping on a Tiger team that finished 5-9 in league play that year. But this was the game that clinched the SEC championship for State.

The THIRD straight SEC championship for the Bulldogs.

In the history of MSU athletics, never has there been a more dominate time in any sport. Three straight titles, and four out of five years.

State finished the year 12-2 in league play and 22-6 overall, making their first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament by sneaking out of town to play, but they ultimately lost that game to Loyola.
