Gus Malzahn’s Costume is a Power Ranger

The Power Rangers used to be one of  the hottest shows and toys a child could have. They jumped around and did martial arts. The Power Rangers were awesome to anyone between the ages of 6 and 10.

But then the Power Rangers began to lose their appeal. I don’t know what caused them to lose the limelight, but something did. And unlike the Transformers or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they haven’t been able to make a comeback in today’s society.

Gus Malazahn was the toast of the town when he first took over the offensive coordinator job at Auburn. His Hurry Up No Huddle offense led by Cam Newton sent the Tigers to a National Championship. And he continued to be the toast of the town when he led the Tigers to the National Championship Game in 2013.

But his offense seems to be dated. It looks like the rest of the SEC has caught up to what Malzahn was trying to do, and they have figured him out. So just like the Power Rangers, Malzahn might have lost his shine.
