Dan Mullen is Gizmo

In the 1980s movie The Gremlins, when we all first meet the cute, cuddly Gizmo, the natural reaction from everyone was, “Awwwww…” But underneath the cute exterior was an evil killing machine.

If you let Gizmo get wet or fed it after midnight (which I still don’t understand to this day, at what point in the next day is it no longer after midnight) Gizmo would spawn other Gremlins, one of which was terrifying to this then five year old at the time, like Stripe. The new Gremlins then went on a killing and rioting spree if you did so.

Mississippi State has been much the same way under Dan Mullen. The first few years, the Bulldogs were a nice little program with some wins, but nothing that scared the big boys in the SEC.

But once he found the perfect quarterback for his system, Dan Mullen has made the Bulldogs into a dangerous opponent that can’t be taken lightly under any circumstance. Dak Prescott is setting records and slaying giants, much like the gremlins did to the town once cute little Gizmo got wet.
