Bret Bielema is the Blob

Honestly, is there any more of a perfect match for an SEC West Head Coaches as Horror Movie Monsters post than Bret Bielema as the Blob. it’s a match made in heaven.

This works on so many levels. There is the personality and physical appearance aspect. When you look at Bielema on the sideline, how do you not think “The Blob”? If you don’t, I question your judgement. Despite the struggles he faces in the personal appearance category, Bielema is married to this woman.

But from a football standpoint, the comparison continues to work. The Blob is a giant, gelatinous slow moving monster that consumes everything in its path.

Arkansas football is a slow moving juggernaut when it gets its running game going. The hulking giants on the offensive line knock anything in their path out of their way.

Like the Blob, it looks easy to escape. It moves so slow you think you should be able to avoid an untimely demise from the Blob.

Arkansas football is much the same. You just tell yourself you can avoid being beaten by the Razorbacks if you just stop the run game. But that is so much easier said than done.
