The game went to overtime where the Bulldogs got the ball first. On 1st & 10 from the 14, Vick Ballard took the carry to the one yard line before Jerico Nelson forced a fumble which bounced out of the endzone…turnover.

The Hogs ended up missing a 37 yard field goal and the game went into double overtime. There, Knile Davis would catch a 7 yard TD pass giving UPig a 38-31 lead. State got inside the 15 yard line on their possession, but the game ended on downs.
