Dak Prescott
The experts all said the only thing Mississippi State had going for it was Dak Prescott. They said the offensive line would struggle. They’ve been pretty close to right on that. They said the Bulldogs would struggle to replace Josh Robinson. They mostly nailed that. They said Dak couldn’t do it all on his own.
They blew that one.
The biggest thing the experts missed is the weapons the Bulldogs have in the receiving game. Dak has loads of people to throw to, and he is doing it at a high level. And more importantly, he is doing it with his arm and not his feet.
Lots of Bulldog fans thought the team had a chance to be 3-1 at this point, but i you had told most of us the Bulldogs would do it with only 161 yards of rushing from Dak Prescott, we wouldn’t have believed you. Opposing defenses have taken the running game away and are daring Prescott to beat them with his arm, and he is doing it.
Prescott did it again against Auburn. He only had 14 yards on the ground, but he completed nearly 3/4 of his passes for 270 yards. He ran his streak of passes without an interception over 150 going back to last season in the bowl game. As long as Prescott is on the field, the Bulldogs will always have a chance.
