Alabama Crimson Tide (0-0)

Last week: First Opponent: Louisiana Monroe
Last rank: 1st

Are we giving Saban too much of a benefit of the doubt?

Alabama lost a lot of production last season, and yet, here they are, ranked in the upper echelons of the AP and Coaches’ poll. The Tide has to go to Auburn, to Georgia, to Texas A&M and to Mississippi State. At some point, the Saban system won’t work quite as well as it always has.

This may not be the season that happens, but I don’t envision a season where the Tide loses less than 3 games in 2015. Even for the vaunted Crimson Tide and Nick Saban, the good times must come to an end at some point.
