Bold Mississippi State Prediction Number #3: Chris Jones will be a First Team All American

If this doesn’t happen, Chris Jones will end up being a disappointment. Not a bust, but a disappointment. There is a difference.

Jones came in with all the fanfare of being the number two rated prospect in the country. He had a really good freshman season, but was only a mild contributor as a sophomore. He played with mostly “1b” guys in 2014, and Jones was the focus of the opposing offensive line whenever he was in. Diaz will have a system that allows other players to have big years, but Jones will be the biggest recipient of his system.

Jones will live in the opposing team’s backfield. Chris Jones has the talent, he needs the grooming. 2015 is the season we see Jones live up to the hype he entered school with.
