5. Rocky Vaughan

Graphic designer Rocky Vaughan spent a few weeks making uniform mock-ups back in early 2012 and posting them on SixPackSpeak. Fans liked them so much he kept doing them, and ultimately they were noticed by the MSU athletic department.

Within short order Rocky was called in to design a special helmet for “Snow Bowl 2012” against Texas A&M – it was an outline of a bulldog on a white helmet…the same outline as in the picture above. State has worn that helmet design three times: vs. A&M in 2012, vs. Oklahoma State in 2013 and vs. Kentucky in 2013.

Rocky’s story just goes to show you can get noticed and that MSU’s athletic department does pay attention to fans.
