Auburn is General Grievous
Think back to Episode 3. Remember when you first saw General Grievous appear on screen. He was quite the spectacle. He has all of those lightsabers, and he was a droid with a heart. It was the definition of meancing.
But as the movie went on, we saw Grievous wasn’t that big of a deal in the long run. Sure, he had a nice little run, but he wasn’t nearly as dangerous as we thought he would be.
That was Auburn in 2014. They got off to the nice start. They looked to be one of the strongest teams in the country. Then it all fell apart. They rebounded really well after their loss to Mississippi State, but then the losses to Texas A&M and Georgia came, and they simply couldn’t hold off the Tide.
