Mississippi State Baseball Weather Forecast: Barn Burner

The Bulldogs are back home again for a three-game series against Auburn. The times for the games are about the same as they always are for a weekend schedule with first pitches for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday being 6:30 PM, 2:00 PM, and 1:30 PM respectively. The Mississippi State baseball team has been the subject of much gnashing of teeth with the Bulldog faithful. Starting off the SEC slate with an abysmal 2-4 record, the Bulldogs will need a big momentum win against the Auburn Tigers who are 1-5 on the year.

With the ground finally having time to dry out this week, I think the field will be back to its normal conditions. This means that the ball should play as it normally does, instead of just dying on the ground thanks to the wet ground. The turf crew has done an amazing job all year, and they should have it fairly easy this weekend in maintaining the grounds.

Temperatures should be fairly average to below average for the time, so maybe a light jacket will be needed to deal with the winds and cool temperatures this weekend. But don’t let that discourage you from wearing shorts and a t-shirt, if that’s what you feel like doing. So without further adieu, let’s get this thing going.
