His head coaching record is 61-7. That’s pretty good I’d say.

In two years at Stephen F. Austin he has won the Southland conference regular season and tournament championship both years, making the NCAA Tournament. He bowed out in the first round in 2015, but in 2014 his team beat VCU and advanced to the second round.

While he hasn’t been a head coach for very long, he is 50 years old. That should be no deterrent, however, as it’s essentially the prime of most coaching careers.
