2014 MHSAA Football Championship Weather Forecast
For two more nights, Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field will light up for a football game. But instead of our Bulldogs wearing their uniforms as they come onto the field, it will be the high school stars from around the state playing for the trophy seen above. The right to be able to say for the rest of their lives “We are 2014 MHSAA State Champs.” Now with the game being in Starkville, and featuring a couple of future Bulldogs, I figured it could be the least I could do to prepare the fans and parents for what to expect during the game. Well…weather-wise at least. So I’m here to provide you with your Starkville weather forecast for both Friday and Saturday’s matchups.
So looking over the general idea for the forecasts this weekend, let’s talk about a few of the big picture ideas. There is a small trough, or a shortwave as we Meteorologists call it, that is pushing its way towards our area right now. With this comes a high chance of rain, not thunderstorms, just rain. Friday night looks to be the messiest game as far as rain is concerned. So if South Panola and Oak Grove wanted a messy game, then they sure have one.
Remember, for the most up to the minute weather updates (you’ll most likely need them) make sure to follow @MWNWeather on Twitter this weekend.
