Mullen – Chason Virgil Part Ways – Ole Miss Fans Erupt With Anger and Holiness

Yesterday news broke that Mississippi State had parted ways with Texas high school quarterback Chason Virgil.  Virgil, who graduates in December was expected to enroll at Mississippi State in January, but both parties, parted ways after the Bulldogs and Dan Mullen asked Virgil to grey shirt.  You can read more about that here.

College football recruiting is never easy and lot’s of times things happen that seem cruel, rude and just plain mean – but remember we only see half or even less than that of what goes on behind close doors.  It’s a big business and coaches have to make hard decisions; and sometimes that means kids get left off a list and have to look elsewhere.  This happens every year all over the country.

Meanwhile, in walks Ole Miss fan to insert themselves into this drama and take up for Virgil – because you know – they care.

Ole Miss fans are salt of the earth folks, who love to tell you how you’re wrong and they are right (as they throw a whiskey bottle on the field or threaten your life on twitter).

If there is one person who has gotten under their skin the most it’s Dan Mullen and anytime they can start attacking Mullen, they do it.

You have to also assume Ole Miss fans are edgy due to Mullen coming back to their campus next week as well.

So let’s take a look at what Ole Miss folks are saying about Chason Virgil and the Scientologist ( Dan Mullen) – I KID.  JUST KIDDING.

Ah yes and instantly the integrity claim comes out because – you know, Ole Miss is Dixie, the Mecca, where angels bear their wings ( see what I did there?) – and where water tastes like wine.

They just cannot stand Dan Mullen and his recruiting tactics.  He’s classless and by God he needs to just go away.

Again, this goes on all the time, every year around the country, but – Mullen is just a piece of you know what.

Mississippi State people are just dumb and Ole Miss people are here to help because they care; they care about Chason Virgil – a quarterback they didn’t recruit and a guy they’ve never met.

Then there is those fans who understand this does happen, but at Ole Miss it’s different.  They have saviors, saints and rescue sinners.

At the end of the day, in Ole Miss fans minds they are seven notches above anyone in maroon and this again proves how classless you people in Starkville really are.

It doesn’t matter that Houston Nutt constantly over-signed players while in Oxford or that the current staff sends out over 100-scholarship offers annually.

If you are from Starkville and you support Dan Mullen, you are a horrible person and Ole Miss fans are gonna tell you all about it.  Just hold their whiskey bottle so they can explain – then they will throw it on the field to prove their point.
