Two thirds of the Mississippi State season is in the books. You guys sent in questions for another rendition of the MWN Mailbag, and I will do my best to answer them. So here goes.

I told you guys, there wasn’t anything that was off limits, and there isn’t. Hence the reason that I decided to answer this question. It appears to be. I couldn’t find anything that had a different first name for him. Assuming that it is his actual first name, you gotta give a big shout out to Bracky’s parents. I’m a huge fan of alliteration.

It’s a bit early to tell. There is only one team that can enter that game undefeated, and that would be Mississippi State. If the Bulldogs were able to run the table in the gauntlet that is the SEC West, then taking a loss probably wouldn’t kick them out of the Top 4. It would certainly knock them down to 3 or 4 in all likelihood, but not out.

The question becomes if the SEC West team has one, or possibly 2, losses when they play the winner of the East. If the winner of the West has one loss and then loses to the East team, there would be an outcry across the country to keep the SEC Champ out of the Playoff if there were other one loss teams that were available to be placed in the field. With there still being four weeks of football left to play, I just think there is too much to happen to make an accurate prediction on how this would affect the SEC. However, the odds of it putting the SEC in a precarious position are pretty high.

The rankings are difficult to decipher meaning from. The one thing the Playoff committee has told us is that they value a team’s wins more than their losses. With that being the case, the committee values the win by Ole Miss over Alabama more so than they do the LSU win over Ole Miss. They also seem to be putting a lot of value in the eye test. Ole Miss just barely lost, whereas LSU got decimated in their two losses. Ranking teams is always a tricky task. For example, if Mississippi State were to lose to Alabama, are you going to move State behind Bama? If so, do you have to move Auburn down as well, or do they jump over State despite the fact that Mississippi State beat them rather convincingly? It’s not an easy job,  but in general, I think they have done pretty well, at least in terms of the top 4. The only thing that truyly matters is how they rank the top 4 teams at the end of the year, so we’ll see how things shake out in the coming weeks.

I’ll go with JRob for this one. I don’t know how much Dak will play, but I don’t think it will be very much, and with him being as hobbled as he was against Arkansas, I’m guessing the coaches will try to limit his running. Nick might get a chance to break 100, but I think it will take him breaking off a big run to do it. I could see JRob getting to 100 in about 15 carries. He seems like the logical choice.

No. Maroon can save a lot of things, but it can’t even save crocs. Crocs are so bad, I decided to come up with a list of things that are awful but still better than Crocs. In no particular order, these things are beyond awful, but still better than Crocs.

  • Bro Country
  • Gigli
  • The Wiggles
  • Barney
  • #FSUTwitter
  • Ole Miss Excuses
  • Vanderbilt Football
  • RomComs
  • Finebaum Callers
  • The National Debt
  • Puberty
  • Middle School Boy Body Odor
  • People who call Mullen Mullens

So I am going to go with no on the maroon Crocs. But if they make you happy, who am I to judge?
