A win is a win. Trying to evaluate the game against Arkansas is especially difficult. The reason it is so hard is because the Razorbacks are going to do everything they can to make the game an ugly slopfest. It’s just what they do. They basically want to play keep away and keep pounding the daylights out of you. That is what the Razorbacks do. You just have to find a way to figure out how to play your game when you get the chance, and they don’t come too often when taking on the Hogs.

So the most important thing that needed to happen on Saturday night was to win the game. That’s what the Mississippi State Bulldogs did. And since they played the game, I am going to try to evaluate just how well they did or didn’t do in that game. After this, we can all put the game behind us and never have to watch it again.

So let’s give out the grades to each of the units. The offense, defense, special teams, and coaches will all get grades for how they performed against the Razorbacks of Arkansas. The Bulldogs have now played two games as the number 1 team in America, and they were probably the hardest games yet for the Bulldogs to win. It could be more reflective of the opponents than the Bulldogs, but time will only tell. So let’s hand out the grades and see how everyone rated in a hard fought win on Saturday night. If you disagree, please tell us where you would have graded the team in the comments section.
