The Bulldogs enter Week 10 of the 2014 season with a perfect 7-0 record and the #1 ranking. Injuries have happened so far this year but they haven’t been too bad. Here’s what’s going on as we prep for Arkansas…

Dak Prescott: on a 4th and 10 play to start the 4th quarter a Kentucky defender landed awkwardly on Prescott’s leg. He hobbled off the field, and after the game he was in a walking boot. When asked about it in the post-game press conference he said it was only precautionary. He never missed a play and rushed for 28 yards in the 4th quarter as State finished off the Wildcats.

Dak has had some issues with shins, ankles, etc. Remember the “shin-kicker” last fall? Some guy just walks up to Dak on campus and kicks him in the shin. Then before the UAB game there was a mass panic because someone saw Prescott in a walking boot on campus. Now at least we got out in front of it: HE’S IN A BOOT BUT HE WILL BE OKAY.

Brandon Hill: In an unusual play, Brandon Hill caught a touchdown pass, and when he stood up to celebrate with his teammates he immediately fell down grabbing his upper thigh. It initially looked like a pulled muscle but it doesn’t appear to be that severe as he re-entered the game. He should be fine this week.

Jameon Lewis: Tubby played vs. UK for the first time since the LSU game, but he did not tally any statistics, and was not targeted on any throws. That leads me to believe that he isn’t 100%, and some have suggested he was just a decoy in that game. Mullen said in his press conference that he got sore so they pulled him…and he hopes Tubby can play a full game vs. Arkansas. He also added that Lewis was hungry and desperate to get out on the field, but he’s going to do everything he can to protect his players.

Guys out for the year:
