If you truly want to find something to complain about, here is where you can let it out. Dan Mullen and the rest of the coaching staff did a great job drawing up a game winning plan and executing it for three and a half quarters. Then, in typical Mullen fashion, he got cute. The  subs started coming in and he took his foot off the accelerator. Get subs in, get them playing time, I get it. But this isn’t South Alabama, UAB, or Southern Miss. This is LSU in Death Valley. The game has to be played with the same intensity throughout the whole game. In his desire to get the subs a positive memory, he almost made Muniz, a reserve center, public enemy number 1 in Starkville.

Now, to his credit, he admitted that he made a mistake on that in his press conference and that he would learn from it. Coaches have to learn how win these types of games just as much as players do. This was a big learning experience for Mullen, and I think he will use it in the future to put the team in a better position to win. Despite the criticism, Dan deserves to be congratulated. He has easily his most significant win now, and the many monkeys about signature wins, Top 25 victories, and beating the upper echelon in the SEC West are now gone.
