Number 2: The Kentucky Wildcats
The Kentucky Wildcats are the only team that Dan Mullen has faced every year in the Mullen era that Mississippi State has never lost to. The Wildcats came very close to breaking that streak last year, but thanks to a shoestring tackle from Kendrick Market, the Bulldogs kept their perfect record against the Wildcats under Mullen in tact. Mark Stoops is making Kentucky into a better football team. The Wildcats were probably better than what their record showed last year, so maybe they can get on the right side of the scorebaord against the Bulldogs for the first time since Dan Mullen took over as the head coach of the Bulldogs.
Upset Chance: 20% The game is in Lexington, and the Wildcats did give us quite the scare last year. This one won’t be a gimmee. Kentucky will be looking to get a win, and they will think this is a game they can win. It is also never easy to win on the road in the SEC, so they will have at least a 20% chance of pulling off an upset against Mississippi State.
