3. Kentucky

In football, UK was 2-10. Mark Stoops is in the midst of a major rebuild and it wasn’t pretty.

But basketball in the Wildcats forte and they did pretty well there. After a lackluster regular season that resulted in a 8 seed, UK marched all the way to the championship but lost to UConn.

On the diamond Kentucky featured the SEC’s best player in A.J. Reed and they went to the Louisville Regional final before losing to the Cardinals.
