Legacy

This team will always be remembered. It’s hard to believe it was 10 years ago but it was. Since then, in a time where it seemed like MSU was building a monster program, we’ve only been back to the NCAA Tournament three times. None in each of the past four years, five if the 2014 team doesn’t win the SEC Tournament (99% chance they won’t).

This was the high point in one of the three greatest eras in MSU basketball history – the others being 1957-1963 and 1995-1996. Timmy Bowers and Lawrence Roberts are two of the best to ever wear maroon. Shane Power is still a face we often see. These players’ are etched into some of the greatest memories we have of Mississippi State sports.
