The 2014 recruiting class is coming together and we’re just two days away from National Signing Day. This group refers to themselves as the “Catch Up Gang”. I don’t really know what that means but if the kids like it let’s go with it. We’ll have full and complete coverage for you on Wednesday, but for now let’s take a look at what’s in store…

Rumors…

  • Will Coleman took a visit to Arizona State this weekend, just a week after visiting Starkville. Some felt his commitment might be in jeopardy but he claims he is still a Dawg even after the visit to the desert. This tweet seems to confirm that.
  • DT Grant Harris (3-star) visited Southern Miss this weekend and plans to make an announcement on National Signing Day. He visited MSU two weeks ago.
  • DT Corey Thomas (3-star) still remains committed to Tennessee. Many believed he would flip to MSU (visited last week) but so far that has yet to happen and it looks less likely.
  • DT O.J. Smith (3-star) remains committed to Alabama after visiting State this weekend. It looks like he’ll stick with the Tide unless they don’t stick with him.
  • DT Marcus Griffin (4-star) is from the state of Washington but visited MSU this weekend. He will make his decision on National Signing Day.
  • DE Trey Carter (4-star) remains committed to Oklahoma State. He visited Starkville in November so there is always a slim chance he could flip, but it’s not likely.
  • OL Jordan Sims (3-star) is between State, Ole Miss, Vandy and Auburn. He visited Oxford this weekend and Starkville two weeks ago. It sounds like if he gets an offer from Auburn he’ll take that, but if not he’ll choose between us, OM or Vandy. He says he’ll make a decision before NSD.

Be sure to drop by the site frequently on Wednesday. We’ll keep you up to date as the action happens and have posts on each player as we welcome them to the Bulldog family.
