Bulldogs – are we ready to take on Kyle Field? On CBS? I hope so.
This will be the 2nd edition of the battle of maroons within the SEC. For this edition, Senior Day in College Station, A&M is having a “maroon-out”. Incredibly, they are going to “maroon-out” a team whose color is also maroon. Mississippi State officials have asked Dawg fans going to the game to wear white.
In last year’s game, a tribute to the “Snow Bowl” in 75 degree weather at high noon, MSU had a “white-out” and the players wore white – A&M wore black. The silliness of this event is up there. No maroon?
TX Mud Dawg mentioned this in the summer of 2012 – this series should be for the right to wear maroon.
It’s pretty simple really. If you win the game, you get to wear maroon the next season. There’s no doubt both teams would like to wear maroon as it is the main color for both schools. So why not have some fun with it and give a little extra motivation by rewarding the victor with the ability to wear their signature color the following year?
