For the past week and a half, I have given you my list of who I thought should be on the Mississippi State All Time Team. Most of my selections went without to much of an argument, while others were much more highly debated.

The hardest part of compiling this list was coming up with one that would encompass all of Mississippi State football. It’s hard for me to include people before the 1990s because I didn’t pay attention to Mississippi State football until that time. I tried to research as much as I could and find the best players for each position.

The list is certainly heavy on players from the Jackie Sherril era to the present. Part of that is those are the players I am most familiar with, while the other part is a result of the past 25 years being the most successful and most consistent era of Mississippi State football in the history of the program. And that is factoring in the woeful Croom years.

So if you missed any of the previous articles and don’t want to read the entire post for each one, I’ve compiled them all in one post. You can click through the slides to get to the ones you want. I’ll also include a link to the original post for each position group so you can see what my original logic was for including the players I put on the list.

I’ll go in the same order on this post as I did when I unveiled the original team. So let’s recap the safeties.
