#8 LSU Tigers will host the un-ranked (but unbeaten) Mississippi State Bulldogs on the evening of September 20, 2014. It should be an exciting game as both teams and fanbases are juiced for what they believe could be a win. LSU owns the series lead at 69-35-3 and has won 14 consecutive games. The last MSU win was by a 17-16 score in 1999.

MSU will wear their special 100 year uniform from the Southern Miss game. LSU will be in their typical white with gold britches.

Game Time: 6:00 CST

Location: Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge Louisiana

TV: ESPN (DirecTV: 206, Dish: 140) – MSU is 16-28 all time playing on ESPN

Announcers: Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge, Holly Rowe

Live Stream: WatchESPN or here is a cool feature that you may want to check out even if you’re watching on TV: the sky cam.

Odds: LSU -10. Mississippi State opened as a seven point underdog, but it quickly moved to +10.

Both teams are 3-0 and starting SEC play this week. Incredibly, this will be the third record crowd MSU has played in front of in just four games this year (USM, USA, LSU). Here is our full preview for the game.

There’s no doubt this is one of the three biggest games in college football this week…

There are A LOT of people picking State to win the game. I’ve heard Jesse Palmer, Barrett Sallee, Brian Greise, Robert Smith, Greg McElroy and on and on. Is that not crazy? These national analysts are picking State to beat a program that hasn’t lost a game on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium to a team that wasn’t both #1 in the nation and quarterbacked by a national championship winner since Les Miles has been the coach. And even further back they haven’t lost since 2002 to someone without those qualifications. Mississippi State is unranked and heading into the Tiger’s den quite literally! Mike the Tiger will be roaring and the Cajuns will be loud. Rest assured after all these pundits have picked the Bulldogs they will bring their ‘A’ game as fans. I am PUMPED about this game!

It should be a great game! Hail State!
