Mississippi State Bulldogs vs Wake Forest Demon Deacons series history
Mississippi State and Wake Forest have met just once in their histories, and it was also for a bowl game. The Bulldogs defeated the Demon Deacons 23-17 in the 2011 Music City Bowl. This is Mississippi State's second bowl game in Charlotte, having won the 2015 Belk Bowl 51-28 over NC State. For Wake Forest, this is their fourth time playing in Charlotte for a bowl. They won the 2007 Meineke Car Care Bowl 24-10 over UConn, won the 2017 Belk Bowl 55-52 over Texas A&M, and lost the 2020 Duke's Mayo Bowl 42-28 to Wisconsin.
