Mississippi State football's 2024 season did not go to plan. The Bulldogs went just 2-10, failing to win a conference game. There weren't many bright spots for State, but a few players did manage to experience individual success in spite of the overall results. In fact, three Bulldogs are taking home All-SEC honors following the season.

Mississippi State safety Isaac Smith named 2nd Team All-SEC

The Mississippi State defense did not have a good 2024 season at all, but that didn't stop one Bulldog on that side of the ball from shining enough to take home all-conference honors. Safety Isaac Smith was named 2nd Team All-SEC. Smith led the conference with a 127 tackles, an absurd total for a safety, which he achieved in just 11 games. He had plenty of opportunities given State's defensive issues, particularly in front of him, but he was always there to clean things up.

Mississippi State wide receiver Kevin Coleman named 3rd Team All-SEC

Bulldog wideout Kevin Coleman earned all-conference honors after being State's best offensive weapon in 2024. He was named a 3rd Team All-SEC wide receiver. Coleman caught the second most passes in the SEC with 74 and had the fourth most yards at 932, the most by a Bulldog wide receiver since 2021, to go along with six touchdowns. The Louisville transfer was the first State receiver to be named All-SEC since 2016.

Mississippi State running back Davon Booth named 3rd Team All-SEC

Bulldog running back Davon Booth also took home all-conference honors. He was named 3rd Team All-SEC as an All-Purpose player. Booth was a productive all around player for State in 2024, which is why he was named an all-conference player in that category. The Utah State transfer ran for 759 yards and five touchdowns, had 164 receiving yards with four touchdowns, and had 308 kickoff return yards. He finished third in the SEC with 1231 all-purpose yards and tied for 10th in the league with nine total touchdowns scored.
