SEC football predictions for Week 11

The SEC has two absolutely massive matchups this week. Here are our picks...

Florida at 5 Texas

Chase: Texas is in unfamiliar territory as the season is nearing the end. No matter the opponent, Texas understands they aren’t immune to the parity of college football. I expect Quinn Ewers to lead the offense in the right direction with Texas’s defense showing up against Florida. Texas wins

Reed: With DJ Lagway suffering a hamstring injury last week, I see no way Florida wins even if he is able to play. Texas wins

Andrew: Florida isn't awful, and Billy Napier has been deemed safe for another year. But they aren't beating Texas, especially if Lagway can't go. Texas wins

3 Georgia at 16 Ole Miss

Chase: Lane Kiffin is due for a groundbreaking win in his coaching career. Last week, Ole Miss found their groove on offense and defense at the right time. Carson Beck’s inability to protect the football will create more opportunities for Ole Miss to pull off the upset this weekend. Ole Miss wins

Reed: I think the reason Ole Miss wins is that they will be able to pressure Beck into mistakes, and Ole Miss makes a few more plays than Georgia. Ole Miss wins

Andrew: I get there's momentum behind the Rebels. But one, when's the last time Lane Kiffin won a game of this magnitude? And two, what happened the last time Georgia played a team (Texas) that required their best effort? We see the best version of UGA Saturday. Georgia wins

South Carolina at Vanderbilt

Chase: South Carolina could’ve been in the conversation for a playoff spot if close games with LSU and Alabama had gone differently. Shane Beamer has made me a believer in his team. As much as Vanderbilt has been on a run as of late, South Carolina’s defense is hard to score on. South Carolina wins

Reed: The Gamecocks are Jekyll and Hyde, but they are playing more consistent now. Their edge rushers will be the difference in a close game. South Carolina wins

Andrew: South Carolina beating Texas A&M means only one thing, and that is that their fans are going to be even madder when they immediately turn around and lose in Nashville. That is Gamecock football. Vanderbilt wins

11 Alabama at 15 LSU

Chase: Luckily for the Tigers, Death Valley is the site for this weekend's showdown. Alabama struggled with crowd noise in Neyland Stadium a couple weeks back. I expect LSU’s defense to step up and be a problem for Alabama’s rushing game. Also, Garrett Nussmeier is due for a bounce back performance, which will be key for LSU. LSU wins

Reed: Alabama has struggled on the road, and I do think that Jalen Milroe folds under the pressure of playing at Tiger Stadium. LSU wins

Andrew: I get concerns about Milroe playing on the road, and I get concerns about the Bama defense. However, we just saw what happens to LSU when they face a mobile QB. Even with the extra week to prepare, that will be the difference. Alabama wins

Oklahoma at 24 Missouri

Chase: Even though Missouri has had a frustrating season, they are still a good team. Oklahoma’s injuries continue to weigh them down as they face tough competition. Missouri wins

Reed: Oklahoma being unable to do anything offensively will be their downfall in this game. Missouri pulls out a close one. Missouri wins

Andrew: Mizzou has been the better team, but they've got some serious injuries that arguably make them worse than the Sooners. OU's defense is still strong, and Jackson Arnold is looking much better now. Oklahoma wins
