Mississippi State women's basketball: 5 impressive stats from solid road win vs. Florida

Mississippi State basketball has a couple double-double machines
It's no secret that Mississippi State relies heavily upon its starters and it's no secret that Jerkaila Jordan and Jessika Carter are incredibly talented, but they were nearly impossible to stop in Gainesville on Monday.
Jordan and Carter combined for 41 points and 27 rebounds. That sort of combined performance will make the Bulldogs incredibly difficult to beat. And that was the case when the Gators tried to slow Mississippi State down.
The duo managed to shoot 17 for 33 from the field and the Gators really didn't have many answers for either Carter or Jordan. Had Carter had more success at the free throw line (she didn't make a single of her five free throw attempts), this already remarkable showing would have been even better.
The MSU Bulldogs managed to own the interior against the Florida Gators
It's pretty clear that Mississippi State owned the interior against the Florida Gators. MSU managed to win the points in the paint battle by a decisive 46 to 28 margin. And you can likely attribute a lot of that success to what Jordan, Carter, and Erynn Barnum brought Monday evening.
Mississippi State really established and took advantage of a significant interior advantage. That paved the way for victory Monday evening. If the Bulldogs can do that with regularity, the Mississippi State women's basketball team is going to be difficult to beat.
