Mississippi State football: 2024 transfer portal tracker

As Jeff Lebby assembles his first Mississippi State football recruiting class, a number of players are set to arrive in Starkville from the transfer portal. And of course, some are on their way out as well. Let's track all of that.

Players that have joined Jeff Lebby and the Mississippi State football program through the transfer portal

And while there's been a number of changes on the Bulldogs' roster, it's not all bad news for Jeff Lebby and the Mississippi State football team. Lebby and the new MSU coaching staff have done a good job of starting to piece together a pretty well-rounded group of transfers to come to Starkville, Mississippi.

Here are the new additions to the Mississippi State Bulldogs thanks to the magic that is the transfer portal:

  • Traveon Wright, CB
  • Cameron Ball, TE
  • Makylan Pounders, OL
  • Justin Ball, TE
  • Blake Shapen, QB
  • Ethan Miner, OL
  • Sulaiman Kpaka, DL
  • Kedrick Bingley-Jones, DL
  • Marlon Martinez, OL

Traveon Wright comes to MSU from the Memphis Tigers. Cameron Ball previously played for Buffalo before joining the Bulldogs. Makylan Pounders, like Wright, was with Memphis. Justin Ball most recently played tight end for the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Blake Shapen, a commit that has gotten a ton of attention, transfers in from the Baylor Bears. Ethan Miner was located at the University of North Texas. Sulaiman Kpaka played on the Purdue Boilermakers' defensive line while Kedrick Bingley-Jones was a defensive lineman for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Marlon Martinez arrives after spending much of his career with the LSU Tigers.

And again, of course this thing will evolve as we go over the next few months. We'll keep updating as we go. So, bookmark away. We'll be back.
