Seeing as Purcell's Mississippi State basketball team gets to face off against the Mississippi Valley State Devilettes, it seems very likely that the Bulldogs will get a shot at a big win on Friday.
The Bulldogs have been able to start the season strong, even when dealing with some unexpected depth challenges at times. Now on a four-game winning streak, Mississippi State will look to get yet another win before going on to host the Vanderbilt Commodores.
It's been encouraging to see how Sam Purcell's Mississippi State Bulldogs have been able to overcome adversity and excell at times this season. Sure, it'd be nice if the Bulldogs were boasting an unblemished record, but I'll gladly take 12-2.
Especially when considering that MSU is going up against a 1-10 MVSU team. All things considered, things could certainly be a heck of a lot worse.
