As Sam Purcell's Mississippi State basketball team gets set to face off against the Vanderbilt Commodores, one of the youngest contributors of the Mississippi State Bulldogs is being recognized for her achievements.
When the Mississippi State women's basketball team dismantled the Mississipi Valley State Devilettes, Quanirah Montague made it clear that she's got a ton of potential. In a breakout performance, Montague recorded a double-double.
And now the Southeastern Conference is ensuring that Montague gets some recognition for her dominant showing.

The incredibly talented forward made the most of her playing time in the Mississippi State Bulldogs' impressive 99-35 victory over the Devilettes. In just 23 minutes of playing time against MVSU, Montague racked up 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Oh, and she blocked six shots against Mississippi Valley State. It was just an incredible impressive performance from Montague.
Montague's potential is something that will be worth watching over this season. The depth that she can provide to the Bulldogs in the front court should give Purcell plenty of flexibility and versatility as the Mississippi State women's basketball team needs to rotate players down the stretch.
With her standout performance, Montague is starting to show that she's getting closer to being ready to be an impact player for Purcell and the Bulldogs. She seems capable of being a front court mismatch and the Bulldogs should use that to their advantage at every given opportunity going forward.
This double-double should be pretty encouraging as Mississippi State enters into SEC play. It'll be fascinating to see how Montague performs for the Bulldogs moving forward.
