Kickoff times for Mississippi State football's 2024 football schedule are mostly set as we're now less than 12 weeks away from the Bulldogs' season opener. At the end of May, we learned the kickoff times and TV broadcasts for State's first three games of the season, as they'll begin the year with three-straight night games. We also learned that the Egg Bowl will be played on the afternoon of Black Friday in front of a national audience on ABC.

This year, the SEC is choosing to set kickoff time slots for the entire fall schedule (with some flexibility built in) as opposed to making those decisions during the season. Though exact kickoff times and broadcast designations will be announced later on, each SEC game has been placed into one of four time slots, giving us an approximation of what times they'll be played.

Those time slots are Early, Afternoon, Night, and Flex. The Early window runs from 11:00 AM to Noon CT, Afternoon from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM CT, Night from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM CT, and Flex from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM CT.

Mississippi State football 2024 kick times

Mississippi State's athletics communications director Brandon Langlois announced the Bulldogs' 2024 kick times on "X" this afternoon.

Bulldogs have just two early kicks this fall

Just two MSU games - home tilts with Florida and Arkansas - will be early kickoffs in 2024. State's SEC opener with Florida on September 21 will kickoff at 11:00 AM CT and will be broadcast on either ABC or ESPN. The official start time and channel for State's October 26 meeting with Arkansas is not finalized, but the game will kickoff at some point within the "Early" window.

Afternoon games with Texas, UMass, and Missouri for MSU

Mississippi State has two conference matchups currently slated for the afternoon window, those being their September 28 trip to Texas and their final home game of the season on November 23 against Missouri. The Bulldogs will play their last non-conference matchup of 2024 November 2 at 3:15 PM CT on the SEC Network when UMass comes to Starkville.

Night game in Knoxville for State, Georgia and Texas A&M games under "Flex" designation

Only one conference game is locked into the "Night" window for State. They'll face Tennessee under the lights of Neyland Stadium on November 9. MSU's October 12 trip to Georgia and October 19 home tilt with Texas A&M are both "Flex" games, meaning they'll kickoff either in the afternoon or night. Hopefully, the A&M game will be at night so Mississippi State gets a night SEC game in 2024.
