Sam Purcell and his Mississippi State basketball team are back on the road. This time, the Mississippi State women's basketball team is traveling from Starkville on up to Memphis to take on the Memphis Tigers in Elma Roane Fieldhouse
The Bulldogs and Tigers haven't faced each other in recent years. It's actually been 15 years since the two teams have met. And though Mississippi State has seen some ups and downs this year, the Bulldogs are currently in a much better spot than the Tigers are right now.
At 10-2, Purcell has the Mississippi State women's basketball team appearing to be pretty dangerous. Meanwhile, Memphis is sitting at just 4-6 as first year head coach Alex Simmons tries to get the Tigers moving in the right direction.
