Mississippi State basketball is in neutral-site action for Thanksgiving weekend. The Bulldogs are playing in the Arizona Tip-Off out west in Tempe, Arizona. State is a part of the Cactus Division, featuring UNLV, Butler, and Northwestern.

The Bulldogs will play UNLV on Thanksgiving and then will play either Butler or Northwestern on Black Friday. Here's how you can watch Mississippi State's Thanksgiving matchup with the Runnin' Rebels and some notes on the game...

The Bulldogs are in late night action out in the desert. State will tip-off against the Runnin' Rebels at 8:30 PM CT on Thanksgiving night. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.

UNLV will be another good test for the Bulldogs

UNLV is a solid squad out of a good Mountain West conference. The Rebels are 4-1 on the year, and their one loss was an 80-74 defeat to a really good Memphis team. They're old school offensively, playing slower, getting the ball down low to their bigs, and working to get to the free throw line. They don't take many threes, but they're efficient on the ones they do take. Guard Dedan Thomas leads with 17.8 per game and both starting bigs average double-figures. They are gettable on the defensive end though. They allow teams to shoot 42% from the floor and 36% from three. And despite having good size, they don't rebound particularly well.

Mississippi State is a solid favorite over UNLV tonight. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Bulldogs are 8-point favorites over the Rebels. The over/under for the game is set at 146.5.

Score prediction for Mississippi State vs UNLV

This should be another entertaining game. How State matches up down low against UNLV will be key when the Bulldogs are on defense. But I think State's backcourt should have a good enough day shooting to get the win here without too much of a sweat.
