Barring any late additions, Mississippi State football has done all the work they're going to do in the Transfer Portal for 2026. Who all have the Bulldogs added to the roster?

Mississippi State football's incoming transfers

Mississippi State added 24 players through the Transfer Portal in the 2026 cycle. 20 of them came from P4 programs with 10 hailing from the SEC.

Quarterback

AJ Swann - App State
Jaden Rashada - Sacramento State

State needed veteran depth behind Kamario Taylor and added that with a pair of transfers. AJ Swann has extensive starting experience, including in the SEC at Vanderbilt, where he began his career. Rashada is a former blue-chipper that has not panned out but still possesses some upside.

Running Back

None

Wide Receiver

Marquis Johnson - Missouri
Zion Ragins - Oklahoma

Jeff Lebby loves speed at WR, and that's exactly what he's added here. Johnson has a verified 4.29 40-yard dash and had over 1000 career yards at Mizzou, where he was a big play threat. Ragins ran a 10.4 100-meter dash in high school. One of these guys will fill the Brenen Thompson role in the offense.

Tight End

Riley Williams - Oregon State

The TE room needs immediate contributors, and Williams will be one. The former 4-star who began his career at Miami has played 23 career games with 16 catches for 202 yards and a score. At 6-5, 273 he should help in the blocking department as well.

Offensive Line

DJ Chester (G/C) - LSU
Brandon Sneh (T) - UAB
Miles McVay (T) - North Carolina
Mario Nash Jr. (T) - Florida State
Tyler Miller (T) - LSU
LJ Prudhomme (G) - Arkansas
Ja'Elyne Matthews (T) - Florida State
Isaiah Dent (T) - Oklahoma

State added eight transfers to the room, with a mix of immediate impact additions and younger players with high ceilings. Chester, Sneh, McVay, and Prudhomme are all expected to at least compete for starting jobs. They'll need a lot from this group.

Defensive Line/Edge

Dealyn Evans (DT) - Texas A&M
Jayson Jenkins (Edge) - Florida State
Gus Cordova (Edge) - USC
Amaree Williams (Edge) - Florida State

The defensive front was another spot in need of upgrading in the portal. Evans was a rotationial DT for Texas A&M who was set to compete for a starting role in 2026. He was a major addition for the Bulldogs. Jenkins and Cordova will both compete for spots in the rotation at DE, and there are high expectations for Williams at the SAM position after showing flashes at FSU.

Linebacker

Gav Holman - Florida State

A surprise addition for the Bulldogs, Holman saw action in two games as a RS Freshman at FSU, recording three tackles and a pass breakup. He follows new DC Zach Arnett over from Tallahassee.

Cornerback

Quentin Taylor Jr. - Iowa State
Kaylib Singleton - Syracuse
Jamroc Grimsley - Florida

MSU did a good job upgrading this room. Taylor Jr. made six starts at Iowa State last season and led the team with five pass breakups. He's the favorite to start opposite of Kelley Jones. Singleton and Grimsley are both younger players with high talent ceilings who should be set to contribute.

Safety

Jardin Gilbert - LSU
Marcus Williams - Rice
Kendal Dolby - Oklahoma

State lost several safeties and needed impact additions to pair with Isaac Smith. Gilbert and Williams have both played a ton of football with plenty of production. Dolby has battled injuries the last few seasons but was outstanding when healthy. State did well here.
