Mississippi State football's biggest priority this offseason is fixing the offensive line, and they're taking a massive swing to address that issue. According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Colorado transfer offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, one of the very best players available in the Portal, is on a visit to Starkville.

Jordan Seaton is an elite, 5-star Transfer Portal prospect. Saturday Blitz rates him as the No. 2 OL in the Transfer Portal. A 98-overall 5-star out of high school in the Class of 2024, he was a two-year starter at left tackle for the Buffaloes. The 6-5, 330 blindside protector was as Freshman All-American in 2024 and a 2nd Team All-Big 12 performer in 2025. He is viewed as a likely 1st round NFL Draft prospect once he becomes eligible in 2027.
Mississippi State has a direct connection to Jordan Seaton. Bulldogs' OL coach Phil Loadholt was Seaton's position coach in Boulder for his true freshman season in 2024. With Seaton on the move, he's at least considering reuniting with Loadholt in Starkville.
Landing Jordan Seaton will take big-time money for Mississippi State
It will take more than just a personal connection to land Seaton. The Bulldogs, and anyone else playing to court him, will have to back-up the Brink's truck. The reported asking price, truthfully starting point, for Jordan Seaton is $2.5 million.
And he will likely be able to demand more. Left tackle is a premium position, one that many teams are desperate to land a big-time talent at. But elite tackles almost never actually enter the Transfer Portal for the simple reason that their current schools typically make the necessary financial commitments to hold onto them.
There's lots of demand but very little quality supply in the Portal. Seaton is the type of "sure-thing" teams rarely have the opportunity to target at his position, so you can be guaranteed he'll have a long and impressive list of suitors, only driving his price up more. Texas, Oregon, and LSU are among the programs rumored to be targeting Seaton.
But Mississippi State is going to be in the mix. The fact they got Jordan Seaton to campus makes it quite clear they're willing to do what is necessary to land him. Jeff Lebby and the Bulldogs are serious about turning the program around, and getting in the game with Seaton is evidence.
