College Football Championship Week Picks
Conference USA: New Mexico State @ No. 24 Liberty (-10.5) (O/U 56.5)
Evan Ertel: Liberty goes for the undefeated season against what has become one of the better stories in college football in New Mexico State and the way they turned on the second half of their season. Lynchburg is beautiful, and it should be a slammed stadium. Liberty -10.5
Justin Strawn: This number wasn’t this big earlier this week. Liberty is really good but New Mexico State is no slouch. I don’t know if NMSU can win, but I think they can keep it within 10. New Mexico State +10.5
Ethan Lee: New Mexico State has been on a roll all season and they’re really impressive as of late. Liberty is the better team here, but I don’t know that they’re THAT much better. New Mexico State +10.5
John King: Jerry Kill has taken an NMSU team that was perennially bottom five in all of FBS and has them at 10 wins this year. Sure, Liberty is good and has a phenomenal coach, but I don’t think 10.5 points is reasonable. New Mexico State +10.5
Ryan Strickland: I’m taking Liberty here. Going for a perfect season. They are the better team. Chadwell is not involved in any coaching rumors anymore that I can tell. Liberty should take care of business here. Liberty -10.5
Andrew Miller: LU is the better team, and will probably win. But I’m choosing to believe in the fighting Diego Pavia’s if for no reasons other than that they’re fun, they did everyone a favor beating Hugh Freeze, and I will now forever hold a grudge against Chadwell and Liberty fans after this coaching search. New Mexico State +10.5
