Mississippi State football players react to Jeff Lebby hire

The Mississippi State football program is entering a new era with Jeff Lebby and here’s how MSU players are reacting to the news.
As the Mississippi State Bulldogs begin a new era under Jeff Lebby, there are plenty of people who will have opinions and thoughts on the matter. And that includes Mississippi State football players, who are welcoming yet another new era to Starkville.
The Bulldogs have been through a lot in recent years. For the older players on the roster, there’s something of a chance they were initially contacted about their interest in coming to MSU by Joe Moorhead’s coaching staff. And then the Mike Leach era came and brought sweeping changes, but that era was far too brief, cut short by Leach’s tragic death.
The Zach Arnett era was also brief, but it was incredibly disjointed and it seemed that there was no real clear direction about where to go with the program. So, Arnett’s manageable buyout was managed and MSU is moving on to Lebby.
Here’s how Mississippi State football players are reacting publicly to the new hire:

One thing about hiring Lebby is that he’s supposed to be able to hit the ground running with regards to recruiting. It’s expected that he’s going to do well on the recruiting front, bringing in a number of talented offensive stars with him.
It’s hard to tell how this specific recruiting class will play out, but there’s some thought that Lebby will work the transfer portal heavily to bring a number of players to Starkville to help shape the roster to be a better fit for his veer-and-shoot offense.
