Just two weeks remain in the 2023 college football regular season. As we begin to wind down the season, what are the under the radar games to watch?

We’ve got just two weeks left in the 2023 college football regular season, and the excitement around the playoff race couldn’t be higher. I’m not sure I remember a season in which we had this many teams that still had a legitimate shot at reaching the College Football Playoff. And while I’m not one to suggest that’s where all the attention needs to be put in this sport (that would literally contradict my reasoning for writing these articles every week), it’s certainly a compelling storyline to have a crowded title race at the top of the sport.

If things hold serve over these final two weeks, we’re going to have a remarkable conference championship weekend to determine who makes the four-team field. But as we know, rarely do things hold serve in this sport. Some how, some way, things always seem to work themselves out to create a fairly clear playoff picture at the end of the year.

But it seems unlikely that this weekend’s slate of games does much by way of sorting a crowded group of contenders. Outside of Washington’s trip to Oregon State, in which the Huskies are an underdog, there really aren’t any other games where it appears a contender could fall. If we stretch the definition of “contender”, Louisville’s game at Miami could potentially be intriguing. Tennessee’s decline this season makes it seem unlikely that they could really present a challenge to top-ranked Georgia. Every other contender is facing an opponent they should dominate.

Even outside of the playoff hunt, it’s a thin week. The Sunflower Showdown between Kansas State and Kansas is a ranked matchup. We’ll see if the Jayhawks can continue a fantastic year and beat their in-state rivals for the first time since 2008. Utah and Arizona should be fun, but it’s on the Pac-12 Network, so who’s going to even be able to watch it?

This week lacks much intrigue, but that means it’s a perfect time to find some under the radar matchups to watch. Let’s find three such games for Week 12…
