Expect Zach Arnett to be on the hot seat after the Mississippi State football team was crushed in College Station by the Texas A&M Aggies.

Well, that was dreadful.

Zach Arnett and his Mississippi State football team simply had no answer for the Texas A&M Aggies and the Bulldogs were humbled in a hurry in what ended up being a 51-10 blowout loss at Kyle Field.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs have now lost three games in a row and have no margin for error if they hope to somehow shock everyone and make it to a bowl. At 4-6 on the season and 1-6 in SEC play, MSU is underachieving and failing to find any sort of success.

Mississippi State allowed an egregious 246 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns to the Aggies and Texas A&M had no issue controlling the line of scrimmage as the Bulldogs allowed A&M to average 5.5 yards per carry.

Mississippi State football beaten soundly in dreadful loss to Texas A&M Aggies

It’d be fair to say that Mississippi State’s execution across the board happened to be poor because while the Bulldogs’ defense consistently permitted explosive plays to the Aggies Saturday evening, costly turnovers and an inefficient offensive performance didn’t help MSU out much.

In fact, those turnovers plagued the Bulldogs in this lopsided road loss.

Mississippi State managed to toss three interceptions to the Aggies, which is not the sort of situation the Bulldogs wanted true freshman quarterback Chris Parson to be in during the first start of his career.

He was put into an impossible situation and it just didn’t work out. While Parson’s athleticism and arm strength were nice to see, he was facing pressure all throughout the evening. Combine that with some rough miscues elsewhere on the offense and things just simply could not get moving on that side of the ball.

Both Parson and Wright were sacked on five different occasions and the Bulldogs also lost a fumble, which was scooped and turned into an Aggie touchdown.

Now Mississippi State has to return home on this three-game skid and the Bulldogs will host the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. After facing Southern Miss, the Bulldogs will host the Egg Bowl. Hopefully things don’t spiral out of control from here.
