Mississippi State football fans react after dreadful loss to Kentucky
By Ethan Lee
After the Mississippi State Bulldogs dropped a dreadful game against Kentucky, Mississippi State football fans aren’t thrilled.
There wasn’t exactly much of anything that worked out well for the Mississippi State football team on Saturday. As Zach Arnett and the Mississippi State Bulldogs welcomed the Kentucky Wildcats to town, MSU fell flat on offense, defense, and didn’t exactly look spectacular on special teams.
And now, after losing 24-3 in a game that didn’t feel anywhere near that close, the Bulldogs drop to 4-5 on the season and 1-5 in SEC play.
Of course, as is the case with much of this Mississippi State football season, MSU football fans aren’t exactly impressed with what the Bulldogs look like right now. Nor should they be. This game was dreadful.
And now, Mississippi State fans are reacting following that flat out ugly performance.

Here’s what MSU fans are saying (in five or fewer words) after the game:
It certainly feels like a change is on its way. This brand of football isn’t remotely good and shouldn’t be seen as acceptable. Whether that’s a change in coaching personnel or a change in who starts at various positions, I don’t know.
BASKETBALL SEASON! IT IS BASKETBALL SEASON! It might soon be coaching search season. I dunno.
Things are bad. They are not fun. Everything stinks.
But thank goodness basketball is just about here.
How will this Mississippi State football team move forward? I have no clue. It’s hard to imagine the Bulldogs reaching bowl eligibility at this point. And even if they do make a bowl, are we comfortable with where the Bulldogs are right now? This team looks emotionless and lost.
It might be too late for Arnett to get things figured out, but it sure would be nice to see this team find a way to look like a competent football program for once this season.
