Kentucky (-3.5) @ Mississippi State (O/U 46)

Evan: I will be making my highly-anticipated return to Davis Wade this weekend and I am the most optimistic I have been all year. I think we catch Mark Stoops getting cute with what he perceives to be a cakewalk of a trip down to Starkville for the first time in his tenure as a Wildcat. We are a bad offensive football team, but I think we punch them in the mouth on defense. Bookie Watson pick-six, coming right up on Saturday night. Mississippi State +3.5

Justin: This might be the game that ultimately seals Zac Arnett’s fate. Surely he feels the pressure and produces an inspired coaching performance, right? Right? Mississippi State: +3.5

Andrew: History for the last 15 years tells you to take State. UK hasn’t won in Starkville since 2008. And State actually would’ve covered that spread every time they’ve played UK at home since 2006. But I don’t trust State at all. Devin Leary looked good as a passer last week, and that horrifies me against this defense. Kentucky -3.5

John: Devin Leary is going to look like a magician for Kentucky in this game, and it’s not like State’s offense is going to be able to keep up at the rate they’ve been playing. This one is gonna get ugly fast. Kentucky -3.5

Ethan: Mississippi State’s defense simply can’t stop opposing quarterbacks. While I’m not convinced Kentucky is good, last week’s game should be more than enough evidence to bet against this MSU team at all times. Kentucky -3.5

Ryan: Both teams need this win as much as humans need oxygen. I just do not trust Mississippi State’s defense to be able to contain Kentucky enough to help support State’s very struggling and just awful offense. Kentucky -3.5
