Zach Arnett and the Mississippi State football team are set to face the Arkansas Razorbacks. Here’s what MSU’s depth chart looks like right now.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are getting set to take on a pretty intriguing test as they head to Fayetteville to face off against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Zach Arnett’s Miss. State football team needs a win against a conference foe, something they’ve failed to do up to this point in the season.

As MSU looks to get a win over an SEC team, the Bulldogs also have a chance to build some momentum and get moving back towards bowl eligibility after Mississippi State managed to take care of business against the Western Michigan Broncos prior to MSU’s bye week.

The Bulldogs have been plenty inconsistent all throughout the season, but there were some signs of life on the offense against Western Michigan. And with a bye week, maybe the Bulldogs got the chance to get some key injured stars some much needed rest prior to facing Arkansas, a team that is currently 2-5 overall and 0-4 vs. SEC teams so far.

Who knows? Maybe things will work out this week!

Here’s what the Bulldogs’ two deep depth chart looks like right now.

There have been some questions about whether or not MSU starting quarterback Will Rogers will be active and fully healthy. Zach Arnett previously said that he and Woody Marks, State’s starting running back, are both day-to-day.

Right now, Miss. State’s two deep depth chart has them both listed as starters. That could be a “coach speak” sort of situation where Arnett doesn’t want to tip his hand one way or the other. Or maybe they’re healthy enough to play?

Marks hasn’t exactly seemed 100 percent for several weeks now, so we’ll see if this week is any different.

Here’s what State’s offensive starters look like right now:

  • LT Kwatrivous Johnson
  • LG Nick Jones
  • C Cole Smith
  • RG Steven Losoya III
  • RT Kameron Jones
  • QB Will Rogers
  • RB Jo’Quavious Marks
  • WR (X) Justin Robinson -or – Freddie Roberson
  • WR (H) Lideatrick Griffin (5-10, 180, Sr.)
  • WR (Z) Zavion Thomas (5-11, 190, So.)
  • TE Ryland Goede (6-6, 260, Gr.) -or – Malik Ellis (6-5, 265, Fr.)

And here’s what things look like on the defensive side of things:

  • DE Deonte Anderson
  • NG Nathan Pickering
  • DT Jaden Crumedy
  • SAM Donterry Russell
  • MIKE Nathaniel Watson
  • WILL Jett Johnson
  • CB Decamerion Richardson
  • S Shawn Preston Jr.
  • S Corey Ellington
  • S Marcus Banks
  • CB DeCarlos Nicholson

Will things actually look like that? I have no clue. I’ve been concerned about whether or not Marks is fully healthy for several weeks now, to be completely honest. He hasn’t looked it for most of the season up to this point.

And there are rumblings about whether or not Rogers is fully healthy after getting hit against Western Michigan.

Plus, for several weeks, the Bulldogs had Geor’Quarius Spivey listed as a possible starter at tight end despite the NCAA decision that had been made. So… maybe this isn’t updated all that regularly?
