As the Mississippi State Bulldogs try to end a three-game losing streak, the Mississippi State football team is set to host the Western Michigan Broncos.

Zach Arnett and the Mississippi State Bulldogs had a miserable time facing off against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Mississippi State football fans haven’t enjoyed the past few weeks. But thankfully there’s a chance at getting a much needed win for MSU.

This Saturday, the Miss. State Bulldogs will get to host the Western Michigan Broncos at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.

And when you consider how Western Michigan’s pass defense has been vulnerable to start the 2023 season, giving up 11 passing touchdowns already, the Bulldogs and their struggling and inconsistent offense have a great opportunity to bounce back this week.

“We need to go to work, right, we need to respond properly, we need to go 1-0 this week,” Arnett said in a press conference on Monday. “Then we need to take advantage of the bye week and obviously we get into the second half of the season.”

And if MSU is going to get this season turned around and go 1-0 this week, the Bulldogs need to take care of business against the Broncos with this golden opportunity to end what has been a dreadful losing streak.

This matchup should be manageable and very winnable for the MSU Bulldogs. Both teams come into the game with 2-3 records and are seeking something that resembles positive momentum. The Bulldogs will need to find a way to keep Will Rogers upright as Western Michigan’s pass rush, but an SEC line should certainly be able to do that… Right?
