Zach Arnett suffered his first loss as a head coach as the Mississippi State football team was pummeled by the LSU Tigers.

Zach Arnett is no longer perfect as the head coach of the Mississippi State football team. Saturday afternoon, the Mississippi State Bulldogs were humbled and served an embarrassing loss against the LSU Tigers.

Miss. State football simply had no answer for everything that LSU tried to do and the Tigers were able to run away with a 41-14 thumping of the Bulldogs in front of over 60,000 people in Starkville.

That’s not exactly a great way to wrap up the first quarter of the season, but MSU is now 2-1 on the year and has to go on the road to go face the South Carolina Gamecocks. And Mississippi State football fans aren’t exactly thrilled with Arnett, his offensive coordinator Kevin Barbay, or really the entire team right now.

And that’s fair.

Mississippi State football fans incensed after Bulldogs suffer humiliating loss to LSU Tigers

Things certainly don’t seem to be all that great for the Bulldogs right now and Mississippi State football fans are FEELING all sorts of big emotions right now.

Yeah, it’s hard to argue that right now. It certainly feels like MSU football was set back significantly with that game. LSU hasn’t put 40 on the scoreboard against the Bulldogs in a decade.

Yeah, I agree. Wholeheartedly agree.

I, for one, think this would’ve been a good idea. Nabors TORCHED the Bulldogs’ secondary and kept the Tigers moving down the field.

We’ve got a quarterback battle?

We’ve got a head coaching battle?

We’ve got an offensive coordinator battle?

I don’t know if that’d be a good decision, friend. Maybe we should all just light our TV’s on fire and move on with life? Is that a thing we can do?

The Bulldogs hit the road to get hit by the South Carolina Gamecocks next week. Fingers (and toes and eyes) crossed that next week’s game goes better than this week’s game did. Because if MSU loses on the road to USC, things might get rough in a hurry for the Bulldogs’ bowl chances.
