What to expect when Mississippi State-ing – Week 3: MSU vs. LSU

What’s realistic for the Mississippi State football team?

I expect this game to be close. Currently, the betting line is -10.0 for LSU, and I think Mississippi State stands a good chance to cover.

My expectation is for this game to be a back and forth brawl.

If LSU does in fact win by double digits it will only come in the final minutes with the game in hand. After the seniors from MSU showed their grit and fight last week, I think the coaches for the Bulldogs will reciprocate.

Don’t expect State to let off the gas at all this week. There is no way MSU lets this game get away from them which leads me to think the game will be decided by one score. My hope is that State comes out on top.

My very real fear is that LSU wins.

A win from Mississippi State sets us up for the potential for a special year in 2023. A loss only makes the week 4 matchup with South Carolina that much more important.
