We’re now on to Week 3 of the 2023 college football season. What are three under the radar games to watch this weekend?

The 2023 college football season is officially in full-swing as we head into Week 3. While the overall sample size is still small, we’re starting to put together a picture of who teams really are this season.

For example, Week 2 told us that Texas is back, and the Alabama dynasty is dead. That is obviously 100% correct and won’t at all be proven untrue by the end of the year.

But seriously, it was a fun week of college football. Texas and Alabama delivered on being an intense, back-and-forth battle between blue bloods. Oregon and Texas Tech played a wild game. App State and North Carolina once again played to overtime. Iowa still failed to score at least 25 points while winning the Cy-Hawk game over Iowa State. Plenty of matchups went down to the wire.

Now we look ahead to Week 3, and well, I’m just going to have to be honest with people…this slate of games mostly sucks. There are “clash of titans” type matchups, no ranked-vs-ranked games, few intriguing Power 5 meetings, nor are there compelling mid-major games. You’d be scrapping the barrel to find even obvious “must watch” games.

Still, I am tasked with identifying the under the radar matchups that lovers of college football like myself might want to tune-in to. And I think I can find them. Here are three under the radar college football games to watch for Week 3.
